(A)Lucastech Solutions Shop Policy – Uncollected Items

Effective Date: 1st January 2026
Purpose: To outline the procedures and responsibilities regarding customer devices left uncollected at Lucastech Solutions.


1. Reception and Repair

  1. All customer devices received for repair or service will be logged with:

    • Customer name and contact information

    • Date of receipt

    • Description of the device and reported issue

    • Estimate/quote for repairs

  2. Repairs will be conducted as approved by the customer.

  3. Invoices will be issued upon completion of work or partial work, as agreed.


2. Collection and Communication

  1. Customers are expected to collect their devices promptly after notification that repairs are complete.

  2. Lucastech Solutions will make reasonable attempts to contact customers via:

    • WhatsApp

    • Phone call

    • Email (if available)

  3. A device is considered uncollected if no response or collection occurs 30 days after receipt or after formal notice has been sent.


3. Liability

  1. Lucastech Solutions carries general liability insurance, but this does not extend indefinitely to unattended customer devices.

  2. The business is not liable for theft, damage, or loss of uncollected devices beyond a reasonable period of custody.


4. Storage Fees

  1. A storage fee of KSh 100 per day will accrue for devices not collected after the 7-day final notice period.

  2. Storage fees are payable before the device is released.


5. Recovery of Costs

  1. If a device remains uncollected after the notice period and accrued storage fees, Lucastech Solutions reserves the right to:

    • Lease, sell, or otherwise dispose of the device to recover outstanding repair costs and storage fees

    • Apply the proceeds first to repair costs, then storage fees, and any remaining balance will be returned to the customer if feasible

  2. Customers will be notified in writing before any such action is taken.


6. Final Notice

  1. A formal final notice will be issued before any action is taken, specifying:

    • Outstanding amounts

    • Collection deadline (7 days from notice)

    • Applicable storage fees

    • Possible recovery actions under this policy


Acknowledgment:
By leaving a device for repair at Lucastech Solutions, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Shop Policy.
